Providing Support to Chinese Canadians of all Ages Across Ottawa
To Hua Kang Chinese Family Services of Ottawa, this statement is not just a reminder of duty, but a truth that is followed day in and day out by our team. Coming from a group of passionate, trilingual (English, Mandarin, Cantonese) service-providers, we aim to provide specialized and unique care to the Chinese Canadian residents of Ottawa in a way that is tailored to their needs both culturally and linguistically.
History
In January 2015, a dedicated group of Chinese-speaking front-line social workers, service providers, and community volunteers federally incorporated as a non-profit organization named βFamily Support and Care Services Centreβ. Our initial mission was to support culturally diverse communities facing mental health, senior care, and caregiving challenges. In July 2026, responding to evolving community needs and organizational growth, we refined our mandate to focus directly on serving Chinese Canadian individuals, families, seniors, youth, and caregivers across the Capital Region with a new name called βHua Kang (εεΊ·)Chinese Family Services of Ottawaβ.
